How To Cut A Pineapple
Cutting a pineapple is a lot harder than you think it is. The skin is tough and there is a "technique" to getting the post edible parts out of the pineapple. Here is a really easy, time saving way for cutting a pineapple. If you have one of those handy pineapple cutters, that's awesome! Use it! But if you don't have one, there is no sense in buying one. All you need is a knife, a cutting board and (obviously) the pineapple. [Lots of pictures in this post! I used my iPhone so they aren't the best. I'm hoping someone will get the hint that I need a new camera! *cough* Cannon Rebel *cough*) Anyhoo....
Start with the lovely fruit
Next cut the top and bottom off. (The outside of a pineapple is really tough so use the sharpest knife you have!)
Next start slicing the outer skin. Cut as close to the skin as possible. Also, cut with shape of the pineapple. If you cut straight down, you will cut off edible pieces of pineapple. NO WASTING!!
There will be "knots/wholes/whatever-you-want-to-call-thems" but have no fear!
You can cut it again until those little pesky things go away. It's okay if you don't get every one of them. It's not going to kill you, I promise!!
Have you ever bough a sliced pineapple in the produce section or in the can? There will be a circle cut out of the middle. Well we are going to be rebels and make it a square! You want to be sure to toss the middle section because it is hard and bitter.
And keep going around...
Until that middle piece is out..
Next slice it, dice it, or whatever your little heart desires!
You can add it to a fruit salad like we did, you can made a desert or just eat it plain!!
Any fruits you have trouble with? Do you have any good recipes with pineapple in them? Have you cut a pineapple before? How did it turn out?

More Wedding Inspirations/Ideas
Ok. I know, I know. Your probably saying "stop getting inspiration and do it!!" But since we have pushed the wedding back a until next year, I have a lot more time to get my thoughts together and find exactly what we I want. The only thing I think I am struggling with is finding an affordable, nice, outdoor wedding location. They are either really expensive or extremely picky. At this point I am almost tempting to get married in someone's back yard. (I would like to avoid that but the day will still be perfect if it is.) So onto the inspiration!!!!
I found this wedding online. I have seen it on a couple different websites but I just love it. It is almost exactly what I am looking for. I love those bridesmaids dresses. HOWEVER, she bought them at Anthropology and they arereally super expensive. It is the perfect length and it has that casual sundress feel to it.
This is the colors of the dresses. I really like the dark brown. Green? Not so much. I also love how all the girls are wearing different boots. Different styles, different colors and it works. It works really well!
(I told you I loved this wedding!) I love the "arch" behind them. It is very rustic and wilderness-y (yeah I made that word up, so!) and perfect. AND what a cute kiss. You can tell they really love each other.
How CUTE is this??!!! It is a great desert and a easy way to serve it to people. However, it would need to be done fast because room temperature mill, eekk!!! But really cute idea!
I really like the white string of lights and the candle centerpieces. Perfect for an outdoor, evening reception!
I originally saw something similar on another website. The other one's I saw looked homemade (huge plus!) and was very woodsy. Just love it!!
I saw this and fell in love with the idea. I think it would be great for a small wedding. So if it is a big wedding, we may need a huge stump. That would be a major FAIL!
Another issue I have run into. I can't find a good bridesmaid dress. I know it may be really soon to be looking at those but I don't want to pass up the chance if I found one I love and it isn't available around the time of the wedding. I also don't want the dress to be expensive because it is an outdoor wedding and the boots will probably be expensive.
I love these cookies. This doesn't look like Royal icing but it still has the style I want. I really like these as favor ideas. I want to have a huge favor party and make a bunch of these. I also would do a regular monogram (cursive K M C).
Do you have any suggestions for Outdoor, North Georgia Wedding venues? What about tips on how to find the perfect inexpensive bridesmaids dresses? Any tips on cookie making with Royal Icing? Any other thoughts or tips I should know?

No Posts and Good News!!
I have to start by saying how extremely sorry I am for not making any posts lately!!
I have been super busy and I use my lunch breaks as some down time to find wedding venues and work-outs and healthy recipes. Speaking of which I start Dr. Martin's weight loss program on Tuesday March 8th. I had my first progress weigh in on Saturday March 12th and lost..............4 pounds!!!!!! 4 pounds in 4 days. I am so excited I can't even explain. Soon I'll be looking like this...(she has amazing legs!!!!)
But anyways, I do have some new posts coming I promise!! I know I am not the most consistent person but I'm working on that. Thanks for understanding.
Anything new going on your lives? Any weight loss tips or helpful recipes that don't break the bank but satisfy the whole family (even ones that aren't eating healthy)? What about work-outs for the fit challenged people?

Spinach Wrap with Extra Spinach
I am wanting to start a diet soon. I mean hard core diet! Right now I am waiting on a few things to "pan out" before I start but it will be VERY soon.
On Sunday, we were over at Heather and Wade's (as usual) and had dinner over there (as usual). (They love us enough to let us come over and mooch off of them just about every weekend.) Since Heather and Denise are on their diets they have a house FULL of healthy foods, so I decided to make me a healthy dinner with Heather and Denise as the boys kinda fixed there own food.
Usually if I have the option, I try to choose healthy over fatty. My favorite (some-what) healthy food is wraps. I love me some wraps!! No matter what kind! They had different kinds of wraps and all kinds of stuff to stuff it with. So I decided to make a wrap....a veggie wrap.....a spinach wrap with more spinach.
First I took a Spinach Wrap and spread it with regular Hummus. Then I added a bed of spinach leaves (yummm).
Then I added Red Bell Peppers and Cucumbers.
Then I added black olives.
Then I dipped it in Ponzu. Ponzu is amazing! I have never had it up until that day and it was to die for if you like Asian food. It is similar to soy sauce, but it is sweet.
Yummy!!!
And I dipped it again and again and again!! Yumm. I probably could have stuffed it a little more with spinach and cucumbers just because it was a big wrap that could have been filled a little bit more. Either way it was dee-lish!!!
Do you like wraps? Had any amazing wrap lately? Do you have any wrap recipes you want to share? Any healthy food that is irresistible?
